- EE² – Epiwork/Epifor 2nd International Workshop – Facing the Challenge of Infectious Diseases
January 18-20, 2012 – Courmayeur, Aosta, Italy
This workshop is co-organized by the Epiwork and Epifor projects. It will bring together experts in the field of infectious disease modeling to discuss the advances reached in the use of sophisticate modeling, computational approaches, and ICT applications in the area of infectious diseases. A special focus will be on methods for generating rapid parameter estimates, real time forecasting and the interface between policy making and modeling. A key aim of the workshop is also the discussion of the research priorities for the future of computational modeling and ICT applications in the analysis of infectious disease spreading. - Second Workshop Dynamical Systems Applied to Biology and Natural Sciences, CMAF | Lisbon University, 2-4 February 2011
February 2-4, 2011 - Centro de Matemática e Aplicações Fundamentais (CMAF), Lisbon University, Portugal
This workshop has both theoretical and practical applications and the abstracts included in the program cover research topics in population dynamics, eco-epidemiology, epidemiology of infectious diseases and molecular and antigenic evolution. - Epiwork Second Project Meeting
December 6-7, 2010 - Turin, Italy
This second project meeting is intended not only as a check point of the activities of the project within the consortium but also, more importantly, as a moment for establishing the future integration and joint research among the partners and among the Work Packages.
The meeting will allow, as the previous years, all partners to provide a summary of the activities undertaken and the progress of the research activities. Nevertheless, the agenda will allow large room for the discussion about the future direction of the research activities for the next years from the integration and interdependence point of view. As the first year, we will also have all the formal moment of the consortium with the Steering committee meeting. Emphasis should be given to the discussion of the previous year feedback concerning integration, collaborations and exploitation of the results. - Workshop ‘Frontiers in the computational modeling of disease spreading’
May 31-June 2, 2010 - ICCS2010, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The Workshop will bring together experts in the field of computational epidemiology to compare and evaluate the recent advances reached with the use of sophisticate data-driven modeling, and assess their role in informing public health decisions for preparedness planning and during epidemic emergencies. - White Workshop on Matematical Biology
December 17-19, 2009 - Trento, Italy
The WWMB meeting is intended to provide a forum to Italian groups working in Mathematical Biology and is open to international contribution and participation. The Workshop aims to give an opportunity for discussing recent results and future perspectives to the research in biological modelling and mathematical methods. Topics in the programme include cell dynamics, tumours growth, demography, ecology, epidemics. - Epiwork First Project Meeting
November 16-18, 2009 - Turin, Italy
This is the first project meeting and it is intended as the first check-point of the activities of the project within the consortium. The meeting will allow all partners to provide a summary of the activities undertaken and the progress with respect to the many approaching deliverable deadlines. It is also the moment for share among all project components. - WP5 first meeting
May 25-26, 2009 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
WP5 is about collecting data and about communication. The purpose is to attract people to report their disease symptoms via internet (or mobile phones). To implement this form of data collection in many different countries the WP5 project should come up with a single website design, standard questionnaires. The main goal of this meeting is to make steps forward and set appointments to accomplish this goals. - Epiwork Kick-off Meeting
February 3-4, 2009 – Turin, Italy
